APPLICATION OF 3D-ECHOGRAPHY AND FETOSCOPY AT AMNIOTIC BAND SYNDROME

The paper presents a clinical case of diagnostics and observation of a female patient with the amniotic band syndrome with application of up-to-date imaging techniques (3D echography and fetoscopy). This has allowed the decision about delivery time to be made in the proper time to prevent development of hard complications. Characteristic ultrasonic symptoms with their development in dynamics of fetal growth are described. Clinical signs of the syndrome in a newborn baby are described as well. The Discussion presents modern ideas concerning pathogenic mechanisms of formation of the amniotic band syndrome.
