CAPSULAR CONTRACTURE OF MAMMARY GLANDS

The objective of this research was to analyze the terms of formation of a capsular contracture and methods of surgical correction depending on the contracture degree. Material and methods. 68 women were surveyed and operated. The degree of contracture was determined by the Baker classification (1976). Results. After primary augmentation mammoplasty, the capsular contracture of degree III-IV is formed for 4-5 years. Capsule thickness at one woman was 4-5 mm, the tubular mammary gland was diagnosed clinically in 41 women before primary mammoplasty. The contracture of degree III-IV is more often formed in women after augmentation mammoplasty and an areolar mastopexy with one-stage endoprosthesis replacement. Пластическая хирургия / Plastic surgery 31 Issues of Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery No. 2 (69) June’ 2019 Conclusion. A feature of surgical correction of capsular contracture in our clinic is the use of a bigger implant with formation of a new bed upon treatment by ozonized normal saline solution. The technique allows us to reduce number of tactical and technical errors and microbial contamination of a postoperative wound.
