The question of psycho-pedagogical ensuring of successful ethnic socialization of teenagers

This article discusses the problem of ethnic socialization of a personality which is undergoing major changes in terms of the dynamic changes of society. Traditional psychological factors and mechanisms of socialization are not sufficiently effective to assign the subject of ethnic and cultural experiences and occurrences in interethnic and intercultural relations that actualize the problem of psycho-pedagogical support of ethnic socialization. Objective: to identify the features of ethnic socialization of adolescents (ethnic and civic identity, ethnic stereotypes, social distance values, values, behavior strategies in conflict situations and the level of ethnic tolerance) and justify the psycho-pedagogical conditions that ensure a successful ethnic socialization. Study participants: students of secondary schools of Chita. Number of subjects 120 people aged 12-14 years. This study enabled us to formulate the following conclusions. Ethnic socialization is understood as a process of integration of the individual in the ethno-cultural society. In the process of ethnic socialization in childhood individual adapts to the norms, rules and values of the ethnic group, adolescence is characterized by individualization, and in his youth, when there is a holistic and sustainable establishment of its results, the person is integrated in a multi-ethnic and multicultural society. The main indicators of ethnic socialization are the ethnic and civic identity, system of value orientations and ethnic tolerance. Critical period of socialization in ethnic - adolescence, defined as the stage of designing the ethnic outlook. The study found some options of ethnic socialization of adolescents when marked transformation of ethnic identity by type or ethnic indifference or etnofanaticizm, the presence of high social distance towards representatives of other nationalities, negative stereotyping that actualizes the problem of psycho-pedagogical ensuring successful ethnic socialization of adolescents. Model of psycho-pedagogical ensuring includes the following main activities: diagnostic, educational (lectures, discussions, study tours), prophylactic (preventive system of ethnic intolerance teenagers in secondary schools), Correction and Development (ethno-cultural training and equipment of sensitivity increase intercultural). Experimental study showed a positive trend in the level of ethnic tolerance, ethnic and civic identity, adolescents' values after implementation of the program of ethno-cultural training, including cultural assimilator, Member of interethnic interaction in the Trans-Baikal region.
