Modeling of the basic factors of interpersonal relationships using techniques IDP by T. Leary
Comparative analysis of different modifications of the technique by T. Leary showed some differences of calculating "dominance" and "friendliness" by various authors. Detected mismatch led to the necessity of studying the mathematical model of personality, comparing it with the formulas proposed by T. Leary and selecting a modification of the technique that will be used for further research. For a deeper understanding of the technique modeling was executed, which resulted in: conceptual model of octants, cognitive models of the main factors and its mathematical formulization. The conceptual logical-semantic model let us get a description of objects-octants and their differentiation with respect to levels of intensity. Conceptual descriptions proposed by L.N. Sobchik were taken as the basis, they were accordingly extended and specified based on other sources. The analysis of each octant for direct and inverse relationship with indicators of "dominance", "friendliness" has been performed. The analysis of each octant showed that different authors give various interpretations of each type at seeming similarity in approaches. The difference in the approaches to the understanding of each octant can affect the difference in the concept of "dominance" and "friendliness" and in the preparation of the formulas for calculating these indicators. The cognitive model was created to identify relations between the main factors "dominance" and "friendliness" and 4 main octants (top row) and 4 additional octants (bottom row). Cognitive model allows getting a mathematical model in the form of algebraic notation, which simplifies the process of perception of the phenomenon. After having studied cognitive and conceptual models of "dominance" and "friendliness" proposed by T. Leary authors developed a similar model of factor called the "communicativeness of personality". "Communicativeness of personality" is a set of qualities that characterize the process of communication of a particular individual, positive moral and ethical quality of a person expressing a person's predisposition to communicate, to establish contacts, ties, relations. Outwardly it appears as a communicative quality, as the ability to gather people around him. This quality is based on a person's ability to feel the field of psychological compatibility with a partner. Sometimes the term "communicate" is used synonymously and sometimes as an auxiliary concept to refer to the character traits (sociable person) with an emphasis on understanding the technology to communicate. This technology allowed finding out the factor of "communicativeness of personality", to determine its conceptual, cognitive and mathematical model that gives an opportunity to apply the results obtained by the analysis of extensive empirical material.
