Respiratory tuberculosis of children and adolescents: research of significant pathologic genetic psychological mechanisms
Nowadays problems connected with treatment and precaution of tuberculosis, especially among children and adolescents, cause concern of Russian healthcare system. The determination of individual risk level of tuberculosis in phthisis paediatrics is traditionally based on medical epidemiologic and social factors. To add task-oriented psycho-corrective measures into prevention measures complex is necessary and methodologically justified, the program of these measures is based on the results of significant pathologic genetic psychological mechanisms of children and adolescents' respiratory tuberculosis development research. The aim of the research is to study personal characteristics of respiratory tuberculosis patients and parents' relation features in patients' families. The main research group consisted of 90 children and 110 adolescents with newly diagnosed respiratory tuberculosis and the comparison group consisted of 50 children and 120 adolescents not infected with tuberculosis. Also 70 patients' mothers and 50 healthy children' mothers took part in the research. In the result of comparative analysis of personal characteristics and specificity of emotional reaction significant differences between indicated groups were found. Patients are significantly different from healthy equals in age in specific psychological features, such as emotional instability, dependence on important people, low emotional adaptation to situations of self-realization and valuation, normalization, subjective distrust to surrounding people, insufficient development of necessary social skills of teamwork with equals in age and conflict interpersonal relations. The features of mother relation in the families with a respiratory tuberculosis patient (domination and control, conniving, lack of protection, incoherence) provide disharmonious development and contradictory pattern of «I» formation of a child. The features found during the research give rise to prolonging stress appearance in subjective hard situations, and, accordingly, decrease the organism resistance to tuberculosis infection. These features are considered psychological factors of children and adolescents' disease development. The presence of such pathological genetic significant psychological mechanisms is an empirical support of the extension of traditional methods of help against tuberculosis for children and adolescents and its implementation to the system of psychological programs, aimed at patients' specific features correction and consulting help for patients' family members.
