The manifest content of dreams of persons seeking psychotherapeutic help
The work is devoted to formal statistical analysis ofmanifest content of dreams. The hypothesis is verified, that in the manifest content of dreams one can find such content, which would allow to recognize definite clinical characteristics of the dreamer and use themin the psychotherapeutic process. The work doesn't consider the content of problems, which motivates the dreamer to address for help. It considers only the fact that the dreamer has psychological problems of such in tensity, that are enough for him to ask professional help. The original multistep method of formalizing the content of dream is described. The possibility of using the manifest content of the dream for detecting the readiness of the dreamer to ask professional help is demonstrated.
