Problem of personal and professional skills authentication among students oriented at activities in clinical medicine

The article is devoted to the problem of personal skills authentication among students of clinical activity. Comparative analysis of educational standards, regulations and expectations of relational skills of experts in clinical practice has revealed a certain discrepancy. Lack of personal skills appears during the process of learning, because little attention is paid to such aspects as communication between a doctor, a nurse and a patient. It complicates further identification and authentication of graduates; it is a factor of insufficient involvement into professional activity. In clinical practice, to interact with patients is one of the basic competence-based fundamentals; it means not only professional knowledge and skills, but also rather high degree of trueness and authenticity of clinical experience. A good contact helps a clinician to influence the process of diagnosis and treatment, to monitor his activities, to find out the changes in his condition, and to sensitize the patient to treatment, bringing him faith in a favorable outcome of his disease. The problem of professional skills authentication should be decided on the general psychological level that will allow creating discourses for clarifying psychograms of professionals, carrying out selection and designing activities that take prophylactic measures of emotional burnout. The applied level of studying the authentication problem allows us specifying job profile diagrams of professionals, improving the forms of knowledge control and educational programs. It is also important to study correspondence of psychograms and job profile diagrams in specific areas of labor division, where medicine is a good example. In this study, psychograms and job profile diagrams and compiled on the basis of social requirements to the skills of a specialist in clinical activity recorded in legal documents, manuals and publications, and on the basis of empirical research data. The results of the comparative analysis of psychograms / job profile diagrams authentication show that there is a risky discrepancy between the expected and real personal skills (low authentication) among students of medical and pediatric faculties of Medical University. During the process of personal skills development specific problems appear. Educational subjects that instruct how to communicate with patients are completed before students form the sufficient experience. Also, these students demonstrate personal qualities that contradict expectations of a doctor's personality. These are is excessive emotionality, selfishness, sarcasm, competitiveness, impulsiveness and authoritativeness. It makes us expect that further studies would probably reveal and describe risky complexes of personal features.
