Contribution to the establishment of psychology as a science. To the memory of M.S. Rogovin
This article, dedicating to M.S. Rogovin who would be having his 95th birthday this year, shows contemporary significance of his ideas and contributions to psychology. His disciples and followers are seeking to draw attention to the fact that a number of his ideas and points are still relevant today, in particular the following: - historically volatile content of the basic psychological and pathopsychological concepts and terms shows that psychology is not a set of isolated and frozen "phenomena", but a complex multi-level system of knowledge. The dynamics of the "phenomena" is defined by the "external" and the "internal" factors. - To solve the problem of achieving a unity of content between psychology as a science and psychology as an academic subject it is required to compare the data of general and pathological psychology. - The teaching of psychology requires changes not in teaching methods but in the architectonics of psychology itself as a science. The composition of the educational materials, deprived of the internal unity, has a negative impact on the learning process; it decreases the interest of students to study; and it creates false impression about the content and the structure of the science. It is noted also that M.S. Rogovin was a consistent methodologist who took responsibility for creating and understanding scientific psychology in historical perspective.
