Psychological and educational support for the actualization and the development of reflective abilities among young people studying at the university level

The article presents the description of the reflective training "Actualization and developing the ability to complete tasks on 'the meaning and value of existence". The program was developed based on the analysis of the research conducted over several years at the faculty of psychology at Tomsk State University. The results showed the existing psychological resources and deficits among young people studying at the university level. The essential feature of modern society is its focus on the empowerment and potential of an individual. The tendency to reveal the inner potential of a person grows and becomes stronger. A modern man is focused on actualization and development of skills for effective interaction with the environment. The analysis of many researches has allowed to identify psychological deficits specific to the modern youth. Today's young people do not have sufficient reflective abilities regarding their own lives, both personal and professional, as well as regarding self-development and self-efficacy. Actualization and development of reflective abilities of young people regarding their own life, is a formed psychological and educational support. The form of this type of educational support in our study is a reflective training. It has a modular structure. A collection of modules allows to build a program that aims at developing the necessary competencies in students. The modular structure of the reflective training provides the possibility of designing individual educational route of participants depending on the initial level of the development of their professional and personal competences. The program consists of 4 main modules: "Working with emotions", "Effective communication", "Creativity", "Teamwork". Implementation of the program involves the use of active techniques and teaching methods aimed at achieving the training objectives. The program of the reflective training can be implemented in the practical work of psychological services of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions with the aim of developing reflective abilities of young people at the stage of professional training. The presented work forms allow to create educational conditions of the motivation development among students to solve issues related to self-development and reflection.
