Comparative analysis of the dynamics of the recipients' states in trance methods with and without built-in integrative lexicon
In order to find the ways of improving the methods of personal integration, we conducted a comparative analysis of how participants perceive trance practices in standard format and in the format containing additional integrative lexicon. The role of verbal communication is indicated as helpful to clients in their personality integration. On the basis of previous studies, the criteria for an integrated personality are determined. According to these criteria, the subjects in the state of personal integration come into contact with their deep essence; their personality structure changes towards personification; the ability for transpersonal communication, internal motivation, and special resource states of consciousness develop. The article presents a review of the associative vocabulary of the keywords which are in a statistically significant connection with the image of an integrated personality, and which reflect the process and the result of its harmonization. The most common keywords refer to the following categories: "Action" (it includes verbs that are used at the stage of clarifying the client's problems, interacting with the problematic parts of client's self including inner self), "Definition" (is reflects qualitative and quantitative characteristics of personality integration), and "State" (it describes integrative experiences as indicators to identify the inner self, to stabilize and develop the process of integration). With the help of the psycho-semantic method of subjective scaling, we identified significant differences in the dynamics of the recipients' states in trance methods without a built-in lexicon and methods containing additional integrative lexicon. The results of participating in trance methods without built-in lexicon show an increase in the self-realization aspect in the activities of the subjects. There is a wider range of changes in the state of the participants after their participation in trans methods which include integrative lexicon. The specific nature of these changes consists of: a greater acceptance of oneself, broadening the boundaries of self-perception, awareness and integrity. The scope of practical application of the results is: the psychological support in the process of formation and development of a personality in the context of psychological counseling. The verbal messages of a psychologist, which are built in accordance with integrative lexicon, provide a basic construct and give a starting point, that helps the client to perform his journey to integrity, gradually coming to acceptance of the world and of oneself, and to fulfill one's potential.
