Categories of the Psychology of Involvement (Authentication)
The article presents categorical terms of the psychology of involvement. The authors establish a position that current engagement is the main explanatory category of a complex self-organizing and social processes, whereas identity, motivation, behavior, mindsets, and states of being are subordinate categories. In short the categorical terms of the psychology of involvement can be presented as follows: - Engagement explains identity. Identity explains motivation. Motivation explains behavior. Behavior explains mindsets. Mindset explains states of being. States of being explain tendency. Tendency indicates engagement. The authors present principal options for modern modeling for interactions, conditioned by the uncertainty and the desire for self-determination: - Engagement is modeled by network interactions. Identity is modeled by game theory. Motivation is modeled by the theory of finite automata. Behavior is modeled by logic. Mindsets are described by theorems. States of being are represented as axioms. The identification and authentication processes are quite difficult to formalize due to the fact that the factors influencing them change over time, for example, the circle of communication, place of study/work, authorities, etc. Even, with a countable number of states the processes themselves are random and with complex organization (not linear) in time. In this regard, at this stage, it was not possible to develop new or to implement mathematical models known to the authors which could be applicable to the identification and authentication processes. However, the authors cannot state the impossibility of using mathematical modeling. The development of a mathematical tools corresponding to a phenomenological understanding of the psychology of involvement is a relevant task for further research projects.
