Intuitiveness Assessment in the Structure of Arctic Youth Psychological Type
The study of psychological types’ characteristics of the Arctic region inhabitants is a task of social, economic, managerial, and general cultural importance. The life and activity of such people takes place in the conditions of "impoverished living environment", the concept developed by the authors. According to it, people living in such environment differ in a number of features that define the characteristics of their psychological type, professional orientations, social needs and motivation. These features are fully reflected in the basic (archetypal) components of the personality, intuitiveness among them. As a hypothesis of the study, we adopted the position that the content of the psychological type has qualitative features that determine adaptive, socio-cultural, activity and professional characteristics of the Arctic region inhabitants. The implementation of such features is largely determined at the subconscious intuitive level. The purpose of the article is to identify special features of the personality psychological type in young people inhabiting the Arctic region, to determine the status values of intuitiveness in the individual, to determine the connection of intuitiveness with psychological features of their personality. The article presents data from experimental researches of various indicators. The authors studied the personality psychological type of young people in the Arctic region of Russia-Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, obtained using methods for assessing the level of intuitiveness of the personality by Naumenko E. A, social and psychological adaptation (SPA in the modification by A. K. Osnitsky). The quantitative analysis was performed using the SPSS Statistics 19.0 program. The topic of the intuitional potential of the Arctic region inhabitants has not been studied before. High indicators of intuitiveness in the subjects' personality were statistically significantly associated with indicators of adaptability, internal control and indicators of the statement. Negative intuitiveness connections are determined in indicators of emotional comfort and dominance. In the structure of the Arctic youth psychological type, the values of intuitiveness are presented as a positive trend.
