STUDY OF PERFECTIONISM IN PERSON WITH ANXIETY AND DEPRESSIVE SYMPTOMS IN THE CONTEXT OF MENTAL RIGIDITY

This article describes perfectionism as a multidimensional psychological construct associated with the occurrence of anxiety and depressive symptoms. Brief overview of basic approaches to the study of perfectionism. Focuses on the obsession to follow high standards and requirements, as well as on the belief that an imperfect result is unacceptable. Presents the results of an empirical study the relationship of perfectionism with mental rigidity, and early maladaptive schemas (J. Young).
