SUBJECTIVE EVALUATION OF BASIC VALUE’S REALIZABILITY IN URBAN ENVIRONMENT
The results of empirical research are presented in the article. This research has been conducted in several cities in Siberia with using the diagnostic technique «Realizability of basic values». This technique has been developed to assess the development potential of the urban environment. Subjects appreciate highly the realizability in cities such basic values as «to love and be loved», «to have a prosperous family» and «to assert oneself in life». They believe that such basic values as «to be unique and original», «to become a famous and well-known» and «to be financially secure» can be implemented in a minimum degree. Representatives of Tomsk’s university youth have the similar evaluations. Questions about the correlation of the basic value’s realizability with basic beliefs, the life satisfaction and quality of life are discussed in the article.
