Determining the dividend rights of shareholders within the Codes of Corporate Conduct of Russian joint stock companies

Effective development of joint stock companies with minority shareholders requires implementing elements of the Code of Corporate Conduct into their corporate governance. From the investor'sperspective the 85 most important part of the Code is the one that focuses on the rights of shareholders, including the dividend policy. The article gives an overview over the Code and provides data on the way Russian joint stock companies adhere to the Code so far as it relates to the dividend rights shareholders.
