Summary.pdf SUMMARYLeontii VoitovichThe Boundaries of the Galician -Volynian State.The history of the Galician-Volynian State has been researched for more than two centuries but the question of its boundaries continues to be discussed. Like any other medieval state, its boundaries have shifted at various times in history, although in general, many of its territories have remained stable from the times of the kinship princedoms to later times coinciding with the boundaries of the political entities at the end of the13th C. The territory of the Galician-Volynian State under Lev Daniilovich reached its maximal size which included the Kievan and Pereyaslav Lands, a significant part of Lower Dnestrovye, the territory between the Dniester and Pruth Rivers, possessions in Transcarpathia and in the lands of Lublin. To understand this struggle it is important to study the acitivty of the Veche in Galicia at the time. The other thing is that the condition of the sources is such that much work is required to read them correctly. In this article we only look at a relatively small component, basically 1229-1234.Bishop Iov (Smakouz)Priest Ignatii Hudima (1882-1944) - Martyr for the Orthodox Faith and Russian Ideals in Galician Rus`.The martyr for the spiritual ideals of Holy Rus`, Priest Ignatii Hudima, repeatedly suffered repression from the Austro-Hungarian authorities for his convictions. At the beginning of WWI he was interred in the concentration camp at Thalerhof where he endured mockery and torture. Subsequently, because of the physical and moral torment, Ignatii Hudima suffered from a severe psychotic condition from which he never recovered. According to existing information Father Ignatii was shot by Hitler`s Nazis during their occupation of Western Ukraine.Tatiana Sologub-KotsanOrnamental Motifs of Hutsul Folk Embroidery in Transcarpathia (The Yasinian Center) at the End of the 19th to the Middle of the 20th Centuries.In the given article the author analyzes the designs of embroidered clothing of the Hutsuls of Yasinya from the collection of Maria Hrytsak, which are housed at the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life. Ornamental folk designs of the Yasinya area of Transcarpathian Hutsul Land are characterized predominately by geometric motifs. The rhombus of various configurations, eight-petalled roses, various variants of direct or slanted crosses, s-shaped designs («numbers», «tapeworms», «ram's horns») are the most widespread. Besides this, in the embroidery of the region understudy, along with the geometric, are also found stylized plant ornamentation. A complex flower motif also had significant distribution.Vasilii KotsanThe Interior Plan of the Folk Abode in Transcarpathia of the 19th and first half of the 20th Centuries.A short analysis of the historiography of the research problematics is given at the beginning of the article. The work can be divided into several parts in which each is characterized by the same or different components of the interior of traditional folk homes of Transcarpathia. The basic parts of the home and their functions, articles, decoration and religious items are quite widely described along with the evolution of the pantry and entrance as separate parts. At the end of the article the author attempts to characterize the interior situation and organization of life in the house.
