The 173rd and 174th Regiments of Kamenets and Romen in the First Year of the Great War

The reconstruction of the details of the participation in the military involvement of the separate military divisions is one of the first actual scholarly tasks which stands before historians. A publication has been prepared on the basis of the first resources of the Russian State Military Historical Archives and State Archives of the Province of Kursk which have come to the forefront. The complete particulars and basic stages of the military actions of the 44th Infantry Division of the Russian Imperial Army, which took an active part in the operations against the Austrian forces on the South-West in 1914, have been uncovered.
