The Basic Directions of the Dynamics of the Ethnic Structure of Moldavia in the 50 and 60's of the 20th Century
The demographic events in Moldova in 50-60th years of XX century are connected with the development of the social life of the society. Power industry, mechanic engineering, instrumentation, light industry developed with heightened rates. Scientifically - production associations led by scientifically - research institutes, territorial agro-industrial complexes were formed during this time. The state policy was directed on creation of financially - technical base, on introduction of the achievements of science and technology in the national economy, on solution of the most difficult social problems. The role of the cities advanced thanks to the changes occurred in the economy. So, for example, in the 60th years the internal migration of population was 53,5 %, and the external - 46,5 %. In 1950 the total number of the urban population was 402,6 thousand people, and in the 1960th year the excess was more than 738 thousand people.
