Charting" Slavdom as an Imaginary Construct

This paper researches Slavdom as a political construct, where the image of Slavdom becomes the basis for charting. The research is based on the subjectivistic perception of the imaginary realms, according to J. Le Goff and A. Schutz. B. Anderson's idea that the map is a sample of the real world allows researching the imaginary Slavdom in M. Orbini's work of the early 17th century as a quite real ideological construct. This paper emphasises glorialism as Orbini's key concept, where "Glory" becomes the binder for the history and geography of Slavdom.
