Pis'ma D.N. Verguna k P.A. Kulakovskomu [The Letters of D.N. Vergun to P.A. Kulakovsky]

Two letters of the publisher of the journal "Slavic Age" Dmitry Nikolayevich Vergun (1871-1951) is published here for the first time. Documents are stored in the Manuscript Department of the Institute of Russian literature Russian Academy of Sciences (F. 572, Nr. 8). They reflect the editorial policy of Vergun, his views on the Slavs and the Slavic world, as well as provide material for further study of the life and career of Vergun who had made a significant contribution to the formation of the Rusin national self-determination. The text of the letters indicates the contacts of Vergun with Russian Slavists; the presented materials allow us to trace the evolution of the plan of the publisher of "Slavic age" before the release of the first issues of the publication.
