Последствия деятельности европейского колониализма на Тихоокеанском Севере Америки начиная с XVI в.

Рассматриваются последствия европейского колониализма на Тихоокеанском Севере. В первую очередь Испания начала колонизировать Нижнюю Калифорнию, затем, продвинувшись на север, она поглотила Верхнюю Калифорнию. Россия начала свой проект с колонизации азиатского побережья, позднее она достигла американского берега. Два колониальных потока встретятся в Верхней Калифорнии. Другие державы, такие как Великобритания и США, действовали сходным образом. Христианские миссионеры изначально выступили адептами колонизации. За более чем трехвековой период колониального присутствия природная среда претерпела существенные изменения, губительно отразившиеся на многих видах фауны и флоры.
