The review is devoted to the publications on Valentin Rasputin’s work and the memory of the writer, released in Irkutsk within the last two years -a multi-authored monograph (2014) and a collection of essays (2015). Well-known researchers of Valentin Rasputin’s work consider his philosophical system in the relationship of idea and its embodiment, the writer’s aesthetics in the context of development of traditions and the outstanding writer’s position among likeminded writers. Rasputin experts from various regions of Russia, near and far abroad pay special attention to the writer’s publicism, its topics and statement image. Of importance are the attempts of Russian and foreign scientists, writers and critics to determine V. G. Rasputin’s role in the history of Russian literature and classical Russian prose in the socio-cultural context at the beginning of the XXI century and also of value is the analysis of the creativity psychology from typological, historical-cultural and philosophical viewpoints. Special attention is paid to the evolution of Valentin Rasputin’s works perception in the USSR, Russia and abroad.
