The experience of a complex discursive description of speech genres. Portraits of speech genres: Different discursive practices. Collective monograph. Т. А. Demeshkina, S. V. Voloshin, N. A. Karpova, R. V. Ryumin, A. A. Dolganina; Ed. by T. A. Demeshkina. Tomsk, TSU, 2016, 278 p.
The collective monograph summarizes the genre-research studies of representatives of the Tomsk linguistic school of Russian studies, performed over the past twenty years in the mainstream of the domestic theory of speech genres, the foundations of which were laid in the works of M. M. Bakhtin. The speech genre is interpreted by the authors of the book as an invariant possessing a set of constant and variable characteristics due to the specificity of the discourse. The linguistic portraits of individual speech genres are considered in terms of the common discursive aspect. It allows carrying out complex analysis of the speech genre as a model of utterance and revealing the specifics of the latter by the peculiarities of the forms of communication in particular discursive circumstances. The empirical basis of the study includes regional texts, with dialect ones among them. Considering the idea of creating an encyclopedia of the speech genres of the Russian national language, the material presented in the monograph is of great value.
