Shor broad vowels like «e» in different speeches (according to somatic data)

In the Shor language it is customary to distinguish two dialects: Mrassu and Kondoma. Besides, up to now each dialect is considered to contain five patois, and two of these patois are believed to have one subpatois each. Within the last decade, between the dialects there began to show a trend towards leveling in all sections of the language in favor of the literary norm, although in remote locations with a small number of speakers down to a few persons the primordial pronunciation remains intact. The sustainable differential sign between the patois is the phonetic one: for each patois it is its own in the field of consonantism and/or vocalism. In the present paper an analysis is made experimentally of the vocal settings of the «e» type in terms of the articulation according to the data obtained from two different announcers-speakers of the Mediomrassu and Pyzass patois.
