New paradigms of literary investigations. Review: S. V. Rudakova. Basic image-bearing semantic categories of E. A. Borstynsky’s poetic world: monograph. Magnitogorsk, 2013. 164 p

The paper reviews the monograph devoted to E. A. Boratynsky’s poetry. The relevance of the monograph is defined by the lack of conclusive studies, based on the modern methodology and specific techniques and devoted to the poet’s works. The main focus of attention in the book under review is the «poetic world» as a special category, which is used for holistic study applying «figurative semantic» elements of the literary form. Several aspects of analysis are presented: visual and audible images that express feelings through words, space and time as the most common characteristics of the poetic world, and a system of motives that contain conceptual complexes in their unity. The aspects, considered in the monograph, help in creating a system view of the unity of the Boratynsky poetic world.
