International Conference «Cyril and Methodius: Byzantium and the World of the Slavs»

On the occasion of the 1150 anniversary of the mission of Cyril and Methodius in Great Moravia the Municipality of Thessaloniki, jointly with the Centre of the Study of the Cultural Legacy of Cyril and Methodius, organized an International Conference entitled «Cyril and Methodius: Byzantium and the World of the Slavs». The Conference was held in Thessaloniki on November 28-30, 2013. The aim of the conference was to bring together a select group of distinguished historians, theologians, linguists and researchers of culture, so that the new developments in the field of the Cyrillo-Methodian legacy, and of the interaction between Byzantium and the Slavs at large, could be presented.
