The participle in Nizhnekolymskiy dialect of Even language

The paper deals with the composition of participle forms in the Nizhnekolymskiy dialect of Even language which does not have a systematic description. It turns out that the composition of participle forms has very distinct differences by Ola dialect and other of the eastern dialects Even language and similarities with Western dialects of the Even language. However, certain features are found in the described dialect participles. There are the following participial forms based on the morphological criteria in Nizhnekolymskiy dialect: present participle, present perfect participle, past participle, future participle and participle of the possible action not previously noted in the grammatical descriptions with a touch of debitive meaning. The present participle and perfect participle reveal the grammatical categories of number, case, affiliation, can take specific forms. A set of grammatical categories in the participle of the future tense is presented only by possessive forms. The past participles are not used without personal-possessive suffixes and do not have number forms. The participle of a possible action with a touch of debitive meaning does not change in number, case and form of belonging; it is used in combination with the auxiliary verb. It is noted that there is no participle in the recently passed time, the participle of the long-past time, the participle of the must. The bias of semantics of the participle of future time on participle of the must with the meaning of the obligatory implementation of the action in the future is fixed. There are three constructions with this participle that were not used previously in grammatical descriptions of this dialect. The highest frequency of using of the perfect participle is noted for the -ча / -чэ forms and the smallest - for -ӈка / -ӈкэ forms in the colloquial speech of the Nizhnekolymskiy Evens. This paper was written on the basis of material collected during field expeditions in the Lower Kolyma region of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in 2013-2015.
