The cyclic organization of a bilingual collection of stories illustrated by the book of L. N. Arbachakova «Onzas Cherim» // «Thorns of the Soul»

In this paper, for the first time, the poetics of the modern Shor poetess L. N. Arbachakova, and, in particular, her first bilingual collection of poems «Onzas Cherim// Thorns of the Soul//», becomes an object of scientific investigation. L. N. Arbachakova’s bilinguism creates special relations between Shor- and Russian-language texts contained in the book: they are not translations, but variations on the common subject whose contents in definite cases greatly differ. The unusual structure of the collection makes it possible to consider it from the viewpoint of cycle formation as a supergenre formation, a lyric cycle formed not by separate self-sufficient poems, but by metalinguistic and inter-text relations forming in the process of reading. The paper has revealed the main cycle-forming elements of the collection: language integrity, a well- developed system of motive and subject relations and a the image of the lyrical hero, creating a uniform autobiographical metaplot.
