The application of modern technologies in youth socio-political organisations aimed at the development of the social activity of youth

Youth is recognised as a critical strategic resource of the State, the task of raising their social activism is discussed as a priority across Government and public institutions. For the active inclusion of young people in the process of participation in the society international and regional youth associations were established, which political organisations oversee. Among youth organisations that make special contribution to the development of the social activity of youth, in our view, a special role is given to the social and political organisations. These organisations can meet the need inherent to most young people in transformative action, thus developing their activity in the society. During 2010-2012 we conducted a sociological research aimed at identifying technologies that promote social participation of youth organisations of the socio-political orientation in Tomsk. The study involved three youth organisations of the socio-political orientation of regional and federal importance. Ninety participants were interviewed. The results of our study suggest that a significant portion of youth organisations have a medium or high level of social activity. According to the research 80% of the participants feel that they are actively included in the activities of their organisations. 45% of these substantiated such a judgement by stating that they regularly carry out activities in the organisation, often offer new forms of work for the organisation, and initiate project directions and one-time events. It should be noted that in most cases there is a correlation between the level of development of the social activity of youth and their experience in the organisation. Introduction of social technologies in youth socio-political organisations does not only contribute to the reaching of their goals aimed at building a civil society, representation of the interests of young people and youth involvement in social issues, but also promotes social activity. The study results revealed major social technologies that directly influence the increase of social activity of participants of socio-political organisations. These technologies are: creative environment development, foresight games, ''Znanievy reactor'' (knowledge reactor), ''Senior Fellow'', and social project planning. The experiences of youth organisations in implementing the social technologies presented in the study may be useful for other youth organisations on the use of technology in building road maps, programmes of activities aimed at enhancing the social activity of the participants.
