Specifics of the synergy of axiological and cognitive processes in the conceptual development of the creative personality
The article gives methodological substantiation, methodological operationalisation and empirical construct validation of the matrix form of the Method of the Psychosemantic Graph (MPSG). The author assumes specific integration of axiological and cognitive processes when facing significant events on the basis of the most capacious unit of the analysis - the concept. The concept assimilates contradiction that distinguishes it from the rationalistic ideas of perceptual categories (G. Bruner) and personal constructs (G. Kelly). Thus, the concept involves motivational, emotional psychoenergetic aspects of experience. The matrix model of the psychosemantic graph visually represents the cognitive structure of a significant (axiological) event. As a method of collection of information respondents were offered to fill a projective square matrix (7 x 7 or 10 x 10) with descriptors, signs, metaphors, which characterise a significant event. For example, the last conversation gave a particular impression. Respondents were offered a freedom of choice in the quantity of descriptors, in clarifying the "attractions" (+), "confrontations" (-), "neutralities" (0) they felt in relation to the descriptors. The essential difference between this method and the Method of Repertoire Grid by G. Kelly is that here we emphasised the intuitive psychoenergetic side of the actualised eidos, i.e. we saved its life. Thus, antinomy and paradoxes can be semantic kernels of the most mature psychosemantic structures only. MPSG validity as a whole and its concrete indicators were checked in a complex research of self-realisation of the personality in the structure of the communicative world of the personality by the correlation and factorial analysis. 112 examinees were selected, 2-4-year students of the Philological, Law, and Geological and Geographical Faculties of Tomsk State University, by MPSG, Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and the Method of Modelling of the Communicative Worlds (MMCW). The analysis of the results of the research was carried out in two directions. l) The validity of the key parameters of MPSG by the results of the correlation analysis is substantially described. 2) On this basis the hypothesis of the antinomic communicative nature of the psychosemantic maturity of the personality based on the synergy of cognitive and axiological processes is checked. The volume of the psychosemantic field (quantity of the filled cells in the matrix) confirmed its diffusion psychosemantic nature in correlations. And the psychosemantic concept as acceptance of contradictions (the total of the minuses in the matrix) authentically positively correlates with the truthfulness, tactfulness, originality, responsiveness, intellectual efficiency and is negatively connected with lies, protective reactions to the test, and naivety. All connections distinctly confirmed the validity of the psychosemantic concept parameter as an indicator of the most mature antinomic unit of consciousness of the personality.
