Cultural-historical conditionality of assessment criteria for speech arts of the rhetorical type

Cultural-historical conditionality of aesthetic and ideological assessment criteria for theater speech arts in the is argued in this article. The problems of the ideological and aesthetic distancing of the public speech culture and of the simultaneous development of Russian theatre speech arts in several axiological aspects are considered here. The author of the article bases on the previously published works, in which the typology of public speech culture is developed, the concept of two systems of standards is demonstrated, sound signs of speech arts patterns of different paradigms and types of speech arts are identified. The object of the reflection of this article is the theater speech patterns considered as a system of standards named the Paradigm of Oratory. Its peculiarity consists in integrity and reliance on a single conceptual model - a rhetorical type. Attention has been focused on the rhetorical type examples in the proposed materials. The author motivates her choice by the early formation of the speech arts of the rhetorical type. According to the author, the rhetorical type formed in Antiquity, flourished during the period of French classicism, and now it continues to be a part of speech arts. The rhetorical type patterns represent the conservative direction in common speech. Aesthetic and ideological assessment criteria for the explained theatre speech patterns are the subject of the article. The author points out the interconnection between the ideological and aesthetic dominants in forming the assessment criteria for speech arts. There are differentiated criteria for identifying speech patterns as complying with the Paradigm of Oratory standards in the article. External grace (euphony), the emotional-sensual range of ideas and facts of the translated text, simple meaning, the aim at the monologue, pathetic inspiration are parts of the Paradigm of Oratory. Each criterion simultaneously expresses the ideas of scientific rationality and classical aesthetics. The differentiated assessment criteria of the speech arts of the rhetorical type are considered as the tools to identify and articulate the conservative trends in speech arts. Differentiated criteria serve to identify the speech arts patterns and their objective assessment.
