The Khanty ethno-cultural heritage of Surgut District of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra in theoretical and practical discourses
The article discusses the problem of preservation and actualization of the cultural heritage. Interpretation of the concept is proposed with account of international instruments, mainly UNESCO conventions, and scientific reflection as a system of values created by previous generations and perceived by the modern. The synthesis of cultural and natural heritage is emphasized. The structure of the cultural heritage is determined: digital, material which, in turn, is divided into movable and immovable, and also intangible which includes folklore and other forms of expression of traditional worldview, rituals and festivals, traditional technologies, especially in the field of decorative and applied arts and original performing arts. The stratum permeating all of the components of heritage named above is ethnic and cultural heritage. Its close relationship with the ethnic culture in local versions of its existence is emphasized. The examples are given on the basis of the specificity of ethnolocal materials of the culture of the Khanty living by the Tromyogan River. The different ways of the ethno-cultural heritage preservation and actualization are identified and museumification is recognized as the leading. In the context of material heritage we are talking about classical museums and open-air museums. Four ways of intangible cultural heritage museumification are characterized through the items of movable and immovable heritage, reconstruction on the basis of the reconstituted technologies, revitalization using interactive forms of museum activities. Such methods as the establishment of cultural landscapes, including simulation, are also discussed. The proposed approach is realized on the materials for the museum affairs of Surgut region. The activity of the regional museums: the Museum of Nature and Man n.a. A.P. Yadroshnikov, the Khanty Ethnographic Museum at Lyantor and the Khanty camping-ground "Luk-Yaun" is analyzed. The exhibition activities, ethnographic tourism, the use of interactive and novation technologies are considered. It is concluded that the preservation practices of the Khanty's ethnocultural heritage are developed; their specific features are determined and prospects are outlined.
