Teacher training in conditions of linguistic education informatization: problems and prospects
Informatization of education in Russia is viewed as one of the main direction of modernization of the educational system, which is given an important role in solving the task of provision of such a quality of education which could correspond to the actual demands of society in preparation of a person as a representative of the modern global information space. We understand informatization of linguistic education as a system of measures aimed at: 1) scientific-theoretical substantiation of methodology of informatization of linguistic education; 2) designing of information-communication subject media realizing didactic possibilities of ICT; 3) provision of the educational process with the most advanced ICT means in the quantity sufficient for attainment of objectives of teaching a foreign language; 4) development of standards in the area of mastering ICT means and certification of foreign language teachers on their basis; 5) development of educational programs for the two-level system of higher pedagogical education, the purpose of which is formation of ICT competence of the future foreign language teacher; 6) organization of a multilevel pedagogical system of advanced training of a foreign language teacher in the area of ICT; 7) development of standards in the area of mastering ICT means by research and scientific-pedagogical staff. Thus, bringing the content and structure of linguistic education into line with the needs of the labor market, development of the system of assessment of education quality, provision of its innovation character are impossible without implementation of measures aimed at informatization of the educational process. The problems which are being handled by the science of methods today happen to include the matters of preparation of foreign language teachers, connected with formation of their ability and readiness for systemic, methodologically justified and optimal use of ICT means in the educational process. Analysis of modern tendencies of informatization of linguistic education shows that efficiency of use of means of Information and Communication Technology in the educational process is significantly increased in case when various types of interconnected and complementary means, methods and organizational forms of teaching are implemented in one education system.
