Playing practices as ways of developing generations' life strategies

The article reveals the philosophical-anthropological aspect of playing practices as a way of constructing personal identity that has a direct influence on the choice of the life strategies of generations. The phenomenon of play is in the invariant action realised in the form of being. Through the play actions vital goals of a person are expressed. Preferred plays indicate the sociocul-tural type of personality, level of spiritual and moral development. Based on the works of American researchers N. Howe and B. Strauss and the example of contemporary Russia, childhood playing skills as the basis for self-realization and self-presentation are analysed. Playing practices allow to express the most important desires and goals, to broadcast and form some new policies for adaptability of a person in society. Generation "civilan" or heroes (1901-1922) is formed on traditional plays raising diligence, optimism, collective responsibility and faith in the bright future. Adaptable (artists) or silent generation (1920-1940) is raised on the playing technology based on the principles of imitation. The iterative game rules create a basis for personal development. Generation of "idealists" (prophets) (1946-1963) is developed not only through some active games, but through the media (children's literature, theater and patriotic mass entertaining events). This the generation of winners was formed who are confident, active, inquisitive, enjoying its collective spirit. Generation X "Reactive" (nomads) (1960-1980) is a self-formed model: they organize their leisure time, invent some street games and visit clubs. These playing practices help to develop individuality and craving for mysteries and the unknown. Generation Y, the civil (heroes) (1980-2000), is formed on playing similarities with heroes, demigods, supermen with unique hidden abilities. This time credo is to do only what you like, what is useful here and now. Modern Generation Z (2002- now) is created in the technologized environment. The possibility of building the multiple "I" both in virtual environment and in reality forms clip mentality and desire for compiling information. Most contemporaries role play certain life patterns, which are the endless strategies of self-determination. It was found that people of the same generation who went through the same playing practices have a similar type of thinking and perception of the world, close axiological coordinates and life strategies. A conclusion was made that the passion for computer games has an ambiguous effects on children's ideals, values and preferences and, ultimately, on choosing their life strategies.
