Network model of capitalistic world order: ways of reproduction and justification (sociological analysis)

The article considers the dynamics of capitalism in the context of the transition from an industrial to a network model using the conceptual tools of sociological theory. Modernization of the capitalist world order is carried out in a wave-like motion of the growth phase to the compression phase, and vice versa, accompanied by radical changes in the division of labor, upgrade of the spirit of capitalism, changes in organizational forms of labor and industrial relations. The network model of the capitalist world order is characterized by the following features: a) network model of the division of labor, diversification of labor relations; b) formation of horizontal multinational corporations; c) new management model providing global management in real-time regime; d) high technology promoting formation and distribution of economic and social networks; e) transition from mass to flexible production; f) new spirit of capitalism providing its moral justification. There are ways of reproduction of capitalism through the structures of everyday life and the mechanism of division of labor, as well as ways of its moral justification, to ensure its sustainable development. Material for sustainable reproduction of capitalism is knowledge which results from primitive forms of market exchange and roots in everyday structures. Capitalism mobilizes this knowledge by which the individual feels an organic unity of the capitalist world order. Another mechanism for reproduction is the division of labor which produces social and economic effect by creating a sense of social solidarity. In the network capitalist world order it is the international division of labor which combines economic and social agents in the network around the world. To mobilize the productive forces, capitalism needs effective methods of moral justification. The modern spirit of capitalism reflects the dynamic connection of the concepts of capitalism and its criticism which emerged in the wave of the growth of social pessimism. The system of values of the renewed spirit of capitalism, in addition to the traditional serving the common good, includes its justification through the link of economic and political freedoms, and adherence to the principles of social justice.
