Performance visualization in the modern theatre culture (by example of Novosibirsk Theatre of Musical Comedy)
The article studies different types and methods of visualization in the context of organization of the new post structural paradigm. The first part of the article presents different points of view on the visual as a phenomenon and visualization as a process. The tradition of the Classic philosophy (Gotthold Ephraim Lessing) is not adequate for description of modern and postmodern process in culture. So, this process in visual formation can be investigated in the discourse conception (Roland Barthes, Michel Foucault) or in the theory of focalization or visual dominant (Mikhail Yampolsky, Rudolf Arnheim, Marcus Levitt). Our research is based on the Russian formalism conception (Yuri Tynyanov and Boris Eikhenbaum) and methods of structural semiotic studies (Tsyvyan, Lotman, Toporov). The visual dominant of modern theater culture as the object of investigation (on the material of different performances of Novosibirsk Theatre of Musical Comedy: Viper, The Twelve Chairs, Hodja Nasreddin, Cyrano de Bergerac etc.) is researched further. The main part of the article presents different methods and ways of visual representation: ergonomics of the scene, deconstruc-tion of metaphor, externalization of the interior and dissipation of characters. Ergonomics of the scene. Polyfunctionalism of each thing in the scene makes equal the space of the scene and the esthetic topos. This method is researched on the material of Kre-chinsky's Wedding and Hodja Nasreddin. Deconstruction of metaphor. The way of deconstruction of metaphor is closely connected with the opposition "vertical / horizontal". This way is analyzed on the material of Viper and Zoyka 's Apartment. The visual dominant of Balzaminov 's Marriage is investigated in the context of the visual simulation and designation of sense (Charles W. Morris). Personification of an object and externalization of the interior. The essence of this technique is personification endowing inanimate objects with anthropomorphic properties. This method is researched on the material of The Twelve Chairs and Cyrano de Bergerac. Dissipation of characters. Modern theater regularly presents a literal splitting of the hero into certain parts: dyads, triads, which can be called dissipation of a hero. This phenomenon is connected with relationship between the author and the hero (Mikhail Bakhtin). It is researched on the material of Swedish Match, Viper and Cyrano de Bergerac. In conclusion, it is stated that eternally existing in the culture the conflict between the internal and the external, the expressible and the inexpressible finds its resolution in the visualization of the artistic image. On the basis of the study it can be concluded that the modern theater is committed to the intellectual penetration into the creative world of authors, deciphering the leitmotif and polyphony of their works.
