The daily life of children in the city of Omsk in 1960s - 1970s within the regulated area
The article studies the regulated space in the life of Omsk children in the 1960s - 1970s. The purpose of the work is to investigate the behavioral practices and perception of the organized, regulated space in everyday life of children of Omsk in the 1960s - 1970s. The research belongs to the micro-history area, in particular, to the developing directions in historical science - the history of daily life and history of childhood. Most works on the history of everyday life of children has a fragmentary character, but this subject cannot be excluded as an object of research as childhood is an important period in the formation of not only the personality, but also the future generation, society in general. In the research, methods of oral history were used. Interviews of people who were born in 1955-1970 and lived in Omsk in their childhood became the empirical material for the article. The analysis of the specified sources does not apply for the inclusiveness and completeness of the description, but gives a chance to designate the subjectivity of the perception of childhood. The informants reconstruct the events and emotions they experienced in the past and evaluate their childhood in the course of time. Materials of Historical Archive of Omsk Oblast (Funds of the Regional Committee and the City Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League) were also used. This article considers the role of kindergarten, school and pioneer organization in everyday life of children of Omsk in the 1960s - 1970s, the state policy in this sphere, the main events and their influence both on the appearance of the daily space, and on the content of educational work. The actively introduced practice of "patronage", activities of children's clubs, numerous circles and sections, labor camps and their importance for children are considered. Besides, the existing problems, such as, for example, shortage of places in kindergartens or formal performance of some orientations of the pioneer organization, are presented. Each component of the regulated space in the specified period endured changes, was supplemented with innovations which could not but influenced the world of the child representing part of the world of the adult. The description of not only life, but also emotions, experiences, perception of contemporaries is important, for it allows to designate the personal qualities, values formed in the specified period in certain conditions. of course, there was an external influence, and ideological propaganda worked, but childhood implies its own features, both on the material and emotional levels.
