A full-structured model of the personality reflection mechanism in the traces of a crime
The idea that the objective process of the integration of scientific knowledge enriches primarily the adopting science reflected in the forensic science of the twentieth century. In 1925 I.N. Yakimov, one of the first Russian forensic scientists, wrote on the feasibility of such an idea: "There is now no question of what methods are the most scientific and productive: purely forensic or psychological. All of them contributed to the development of forensic science, deepening and improvement of its scientific methods". The main target orientation of the adoption in question is to solve the problems of modeling the personality of offenders through analysis of their criminal activity reflected in the traces of a crime. At the present stage of development of forensic science, general questions of goals, objectives and methods of modeling the personality of the offender based on the traces of a crime have already been solved in general. The only problem that remains is the question of the mechanism of reflection of individual psychological characteristics of the offender in the traces of a crime. Previously, from the crime levels of behavior we have identified motor (handwriting, gait, gestures), communicative (speech, facial expressions) and organizational (organization of space and a choice of behavior). One qualitative difference between them lies primarily in the possibility of will power control of displaying these elements externally. All of the levels, as reflected in the traces of a crime, are the external form of the observed reflection of the criminal's modus operandi. Despite the fact that modus operandi is a well-established definition in the Russian forensic science does not deplete the research interest in the phenomenon of external reflection of the personality. It would be naive to believe that as the criminal act is only limited by time, place and content, there is no need to go beyond the circumstances of the crime in the study of forensically important information. There definitely is such a need, that's why the concept of modus operandi (method of operation) is only a part of the broader concept of modus vivendi (way of life, lifestyle). The method of a crime characterizes a significant, but still fragmentary component of personality, including a criminal. Forensic investigation of the criminal lifestyle allows exploring the whole picture of the individual, without being afraid to overestimate the contextual factor, the importance of which in a criminal event is not denied.
