Theoretical analysis of modern approaches to the study of a cognitive personality
Cognitive science as a whole in its present form is an inter-disciplinary approach, bringing together researchers of knowledge, whose main focus is the problematic patterns of structuring information: acquisition, conversion, presentation, storage and reproduction of information. Cognitive science is the research area of cognitive processes, brain function and the regulation of behavior in humans. Speaking of cognitive psychology as one of the main branches of cognitive science in general, one can define it as follows. Cognitive psychology studies how people get information about the world, how people imagine this information, how it is stored in memory and converted into knowledge and how this knowledge affects people's attention and behavior. Cognitive psychology covers the whole range of psychological processes from sensation to perception, pattern recognition, attention, learning, memory, formation of concepts, thinking, imagination, memory, language, emotions and development processes; it encompasses various spheres of behavior. In addition to research conducted in the frame of cognitive psychology the forefront of research is in the field of cognitive economy. It is one of the promising directions of development of economy and applied cognitive science. The subject of cognitive economics is the study of the processes of evaluation, selection and decision-making of a person in economic activity and explanation of the nature of organization and social institution evolution in the conditions of structural uncertainty. Cognitive economics is based on the understanding of the mental activity of a person and develops its models in connection with these sciences and their progress. Structurally, methodologically and technologically cognitive economy is associated with methods of artificial intelligence and knowledge management in the economy. By itself, cognitive economics as a field of research and human activities includes three main areas: intelligent systems in the economy, knowledge management in the economy and cognitive technologies in the economy. In general, cognitive science contributes to the understanding of cognition of the surrounding world. At the present stage of social dynamics, the information-oriented society is being replaced by a society based on knowledge. The scientific community understands the degree of responsibility, refers to the understanding of this multifaceted phenomenon. When addressing global issues knowledge becomes more socially, ethically, politically oriented. With increasing risks an adequate use of knowledge and knowledge management are particularly important. In cognitive science the goal is to develop technology for production and application of knowledge. The study of such problems requires thinking of a new type. It requires specialists of a new type, with skills of such thinking.
