The conceptual premises of N. Arsenyev's philosophical doctrine

This article examines the formation of philosophical views and ideological prerequisites of N.S. Arsenyev (1888 - 1977), the famous Russian philosopher, critic, culture researcher and poet, who had been in exile since the 1920s. It shows Arsenyev's strong belief in Christianity doctrine, which he perceived as the philosophy of love and freedom, as a genuine "philosophy of heart", as one of life' s greatest gifts. The evolution of Arsenyev's ideas occurred at the end of the 19th century. In Russian history this period is referred to as the Silver Age, or "The Russian Cultural Renaissance" according to N.A. Berdyaev. During that time, a group of Russian thinkers emerged, whose ideas told the whole world about the philosophical self-consciousness of the Russian people. Russian ideas were evolving in opposition with Western views, but assimilation of European concepts in the country was inevitable. The famous argument between "Westerners" and "Slavophiles" about the identity of Russian philosophy is still relevant. The identity of domestic thoughts and ideas is a problem worthy of independent research. The author reviews this subject through the scientific doctrine of Nikolay Sergeyevich Arsenyev. N.S. Arsenyev called A.S. Khomyakov and V.A. Kozhevnikov his chief spiritual mentors. Works of A.S. Khomyakov mattered most for N.S. Arsenyev. He paid special attention to the central concept of his philosophy, "conciliarity". Compositions of I.V. Kireevsky, thanks to whom the Russian philosophy included treasures of the Orthodox thought, became a subject of in-depth study in Arsenyev's works. F.M. Dostoevsky's works were an important source of Arsenyev's philosophical outlook development. It is from them that he allocated his main subject: "suffering and horror of suffering". Arsenyev noticed that the central question of Dostoevsky's spiritual life and an internal nerve of his creativity, whether to believe in God, follows from this suffering. It is also important to note the influence of Christian philosophy of V.A. Kozhevnikov on the formation of Ar-senyev's views. Thanks to Kozhevnikov, Arsenyev got acquainted with N.F. Fedorov's ideas which laid the foundation to the Russian cosmism. The concept of all-unity of Vl. Solovyov, which later developed in the works of Prince S.N. Trubetskoy, was apprehended by Arsenyev with some specifications and additions. Thus, on the basis of the comparative analysis of some texts, sources of the philosophical world view of Arsenyev are found in works of Russian thinkers, relying on which he creates his own doctrine of "Abundant Life".
