Comparative analysis of labor productivity of the Almaz-Antey Aerospace Defense Concern and of analogous foreign companies

At present, productivity is the key indicator for assessing the effectiveness of innovative development of industrial enterprises. Procedural documents formalize trends in innovation development, given definitions of innovations, state key measures of innovation development effectiveness, and formulate requirements for them. The companies are selected in accordance with the requirements for the comparative analysis: Boeing, USA; European Aeronautic Defence and Space (EADS), European Corporation; Lockheed Martin, USA; Northrop Grumman, USA; Raytheon, USA; THALES, France. Selection is substantiated by a number of parameters similar to the Concern: 1) by the directions of the basic activity: development, production, guarantee of special technology operation; 2) by the product line: aerospace defense means, information-reconnaissance systems, control and communications systems, navigation systems; 3) by the organizational structure: integrated companies; 4) by the presence of state defense orders in the order book. In the article, the comparative estimations of labor productivity according to the results of 2011 are examined according to the indices most frequent in the foreign and domestic practice as calculated for one worker: on the general gain, on the added value, on the added value per time unit. The analysis of the comparability of different capacity factors of labor shows that they are all considerably inferior in the mean statistical capacity indicator of the Concern to the appropriate indices of enterprises in the foreign companies: 20.2 times lower in general gain, 11.7 in added value, 13 in added value per time unit. At that, the basic activity is 6.8 times lower in added value, 7.4 in added value per time unit. Most adequately reflecting an industrial enterprise's labor productivity are indices on the added value of the basic activity, which make it possible to form intensive measures for their increase within the "overtaking"_strategy of reaching parity with the foreign companies. To achieve the parity of labor productivity with the foreign companies within the "overtaking" strategy, the most effective measures are improvement of the personnel structure due to an increase in the share of basic production workers, which will make it possible to increase the fund for labor remuneration, with the total reduction in the number of personnel, and also the structures of fixed capital due to an increase in the rates of technical re-equipping.
