The semantics of the health forming educational space of a modern secondary school
In this article, the author updated the semantics of concepts of health, health formation, health formation activities, health forming educational space, etc., often used in recent scientific publications. The author understand human health as a holistic multidimensional condition characterized by a combination of morphological and functional qualities of an organism and personality traits of a person, in a certain way determining in the process of genetic potential implementation in specific contexts of life, and enabling the person to carry out effectively his/her biological and social roles and functions. Modern methodological approaches, first and foremost, competence and meta-subject, allow to consider health as one of the leading quality criteria of pedagogical processes and, moreover, a fundamental educational object. From the definition of health it is logical to understand health formation as a process of implementation of human biological and social functions providing a stable positive dynamics of morphological and functional body qualities and personal features. Guided by the fundamental postulates of the theory of activity, the semantics of health forming activity of subjects of education can be determined by an aggregate of principle meanings which can be described briefly as follows: - as a specific variant of lifestyle; - as a reflexive-analytical introduction to health values; - as a medical and pedagogical system in its means, methods and conditions of rational building of the leading human activity and rest; - as a variant of person's psychological adaptation in the unity of physiological and psychological sides of this process; - as a result of preserving and improving of human health, enhancing of adaptive capacity to the effects of environment through a meta-subject health formation competence. The article presents the author's health forming educational space model of a secondary school. It highlights two complementary chronotopes, strategic factors that actualize the time and space relationships: firstly, the sports orientation of physical education (space forming factor); secondly, health formation integration of subject areas of disciplines of the Federal State Educational Standard (space conditioning factor). These two factors converge in the physical and man-caused subspaces, and form a subspace of humane-personal interaction (filled with values, traditions, technology), in which education subjects interact between themselves and the subspace, and fill it with activities, relations and incentives that trigger mechanisms of health formation reflection and personal development.
