Actualization of textual comment dominants in the expression of static states (in the language of the novels by G.I. Gazdanov)

The language of the novels by G.I. Gazdanov and the features of the writer's idiostyle have not been studied yet in linguistic terms. The relevance of the article is due to its text-centric orientation, attention to the interaction between lexical-semantic, lexical-grammatical and syntactic language levels in the formation of the structural-semantic integrity, the coherence of an artistic text. Features of text structures correlated with the actualization of comment dominants (G.A. Zolotova), summarized in such functional-stylistic types of text as newspaper and magazine, have never been analyzed in artistic texts, especially in the language of the works of a particular writer. The research is based on the early and late novels by G.I. Gazdanov The History of a Journey, The Flight, The Buddha's Return, The Specter of Alexander Wolf. The novelty of this article is in highlighting a feature of e language of the novelist, namely, the forcing of statics in the depiction of states of nature (dominant elements: snow, blizzard, rain, heat) and physical, emotional and mental states of the characters, especially in the case of a bright self-reflexive narrator. In this regard, the above mentioned texts, with the help of lexical-semantic (synonyms, antonyms, associates) and lexical-grammatical (abstract nouns, verbs of motion and sound, qualitative, evaluative adjectives and adverbs) textual paradigms, often have the following comments (rhemes): static, static-dynamic and impressive. The impressive rheme textual dominant prevails: the external world, natural disasters or internal experiences of the character are evaluated on the basis of emotional perception of the subject, of an impression produced on him. The manifestation of this dominant often occurs together with static and static-dynamic comment dominants. Thus, this research supports the problem of studying the interrelation of the syntax of the sentence and the syntax of the text in the structural-semantic organization of a literary work, and also the problem of describing the specifics of the language personality of a writer and his/her individual style. The study of this topic allows increasing the number of opportunities in consideration of the participation of lexical-semantic paradigms in text formation, provides a deeper reading of the work, and identifies the specifics of the individual style of the author. The prospect of further research is the analysis of manifestations of the static, static-dynamic and impressive comment dominants not within a text fragment (as presented in the recommendations of G.A. Zolotova), but in the large text space of the novel, which will allow to correlate these observations with the content-conceptual information of the artistic work.
