On the correlation between the properties of fingerprints and psychological features of a person
The article describes the theoretical basis and the results of a collective research aimed at establishing a correlation between the evidence of fingerprint and psychological properties. A psychotypological approach used in the study made it possible to bring the search of correlations to a high degree of reliability. The result of the study is the understanding of the need in a new look at the classification of fingerprint features, as well as new suggestions in their classification. The result of the long development of psyche was an individual, self-regulating behavior, which is an ability characteristic for people. The complexity and energy consumption of psychic activities are compensated for by their productivity, with every act of will achieving a maximum effect. Securing the appropriate combination of modes of action to achieve the goal with optimal energy consumption has led to the formation of relatively homogeneous groups of behavioral reactions in the framework of psychological personality types. Classification characterized by quite clear differences in the observed behavior as the external expression of human mental activity is a typology of accented personalities (P.B. Gannushkin, K. Leonhard, A.E. Lichko), modified as part of the solution for forensic tasks. This typology includes 10 psychological types: cycloid, hysteroid, epileptoid, purposeful, paranoid, schizoid, sensitive, hypothetical, hyperthym, conformal. Modern science is based on a systematic approach to the analysis of the general constitution of a human. The body is integral, which leads to the relationship of constitutional and genetic properties. Different levels of human functioning have stable relationships and, therefore, are accessible to an objective scientific study in its manifestations. In general terms, the basis for this is the fact of the genetic unity of dermatoglyphic patterns with other attributive systems of the body. The result of the study is a conclusion that representatives of accentuation have similar signs in the patterns of papillary lines. The focus of the study was concentrated on the study of general characteristics: types and kinds of patterns. The results show that the examined groups (accentuated types) tend to have similar characteristics and features of the structure of patterns.
