The system bibliographical classification of ethnographic historiography
In the article the authors presented the fragment system classification of ethnographic historiography based on the universal classification model. This classification involves the use of dialectic laws to identify systemic links between concepts. The content of the model is seen through six consecutive conceptual formations, ranging from a supporting concept and ending with a five-element group. The initial classification is presented in the form of a supporting concept - a common ethnographic historiography and an alternative-identical concept - historiographical methodology, which, with further in-depth consideration, has its own hierarchical structure in the form of classification fragments. The diad group is divided into commentary and theoretical historiography. Commentary historiography is the most common type of historiographical description based on a simple statement of known facts, whereas the task of theoretical historiography is to analyze the source base, the nature of the use of ethnographic sources, specific methods for studying ethnographic facts, to determine the place of ethnographic scientific schools and directions, to study the organization and forms of research work in the field of ethnography, including the system of research institutions, universities, museums, archives, researchers' training system, analysis of the problems of ethnographic research, its development and expansion. At the next structural level, the authors single out chronicle historiography - "description of archaeological research in its chronological order", source historiography that studies the "history of archaeological knowledge on the basis of material and written sources" and conceptual historiography "studying the theoretical and methodological principles inherent in every direction of archaeological thought and the study of archaeological concepts created by various ethnographic directions and schools, revealing the moments of continuity of ethnographic knowledge". The methodology of historiography is a "sequence of specific procedures, whose implementation ensures the achievement of a given aim of historiographical research". The numerous and voluminous quotations presented above intend to demonstrate that conceptually the problem of the subject field of ethnographic historiography remains undeveloped. The classification is completed by a five-element group, characterized by the scales of a historiographical study.
