Confucian principles of moral education and their significance for the present
The authors of the article aim to actualize the socio-cultural heritage of Confucian educational principles in modern Chinese society. They systemically outline the moral content of Confucian upbringing, analyze its doctrine which includes the purpose, content, principles and methods of moral education. The authors reveal their importance as universal principles of educational activities for modern society. The authors analyze the prerequisites for the emergence of the theory and practice of the teachings created by Confucius, and also consider the ideology and system of moral education that he proposed as the basis of private and public life. Confucius first defined and ideologically formalized the system of principles of traditional moral education in China. Formed in ancient times and evolving in the course of historical development, the Confucian principles firmly entered the life and culture of modern Chinese and became the basis of Chinese civilization. The authors identify the basic categories of the Confucian theory of education and education, provide a rationale for the functional integrity and systemic views of Confucius, which had a strong influence on the formation of social and personal attitudes of the people of Chinese traditional society. All basic categories of Confucian principles, such as "Li" (ft, "rules of behavior"), "Wen" ([[, "culture bearer", "culture", "writing", "civilization"), "Ren" (ft, "humanity"), "De" (® "morality", "loyalty", "duty"), were and remain the core of the moral education of the Chinese people in modern conditions, despite the technical progress and modernization of cultural and civilizational experience of people. In the context of the intensification of globalization and the rapid intensification of the market economy in the modern world, numerous problems and crisis situations that accompany the progressive development of society have emerged. In particular, the problems of the moral and morality of the modern society are acute, as well as the preservation of the traditional cultural heritage which can be perceived dually: as a kind of a vestige of the past and as a powerful foundation for building a future society as the basis of ethnic identity. Through the rethinking of the attitude towards the essence of Confucian ideology, the authors conclude that the traditions and Western innovations can interact in modern China. The authors believe that Confucian principles of moral upbringing of man are of paramount importance for the development of a harmonious social society of modern China and suggest that this experience can have universal significance.
