Statistical analysis of the development of physical culture and sports in Togliatti

In the period from 2010 to 2016, there is a positive dynamics of the socio-economic development of Samara Oblast, the city of Togliatti in particular. At the same time, there remain factors of a restraining nature in involving the population in systematic physical training and sports. In accordance with the above-described, the aim of the article is to identify factors hindering the development of physical culture and sports of Togliatti, and to develop practical recommendations for their elimination. To achieve this aim, the following objectives have been set: 1) to review of normative and legal documentation regulating the development of physical culture and sports; 2) using methods of mathematical statistics to analyze the activities of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports on the reports of Form No. 1 - FK in 2010-2016; 3) to identify the main problems of the development of physical culture and sports in Togliatti and propose ways to address them. In accordance with the aims and objectives three stages of the study were determined. At the first stage (June-August 2017), regulatory legal acts regulating the activity of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Togliatti were examined. At the second stage (September-October 2017), the annual federal reports of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Togliatti, Forms No. 1 - FK and No. 3 - AFK, for 2010-2016 were analyzed using mathematical statistics methods. At the third stage (October-December 2017), practical recommendations were developed that were sent to the Department of Physical Culture and Sports with a proposal to amend the Strategy for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports of Togliatti. In accordance with the objectives and according to the stages of the research, the socio-economic indicators of the development of the Physical Culture and Sport branch, the level of the population's provision with types of sports facilities, the total number of people engaged in sports and health clubs, personnel sufficiency and level of professional education were analyzed. As a result, practical recommendations have been developed and submitted, suggesting an adjustment of the main text of the Strategy for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports at the municipal level.
