The paradigm of wholeness in the interpretation of non-classical logic

The article analyzes the research of Russian authors associated with the new approach to the provisions of traditional logic. It is stated that forms of the provisions of logic depends on their application; “pure” thinking and the material world of objects may be based on fundamentally different logical orientations. This was proved by the views of N.A. Vasiliev, the creator of the so-called imaginary logic, as well as by the ideas of F.I. Shcherbatskiy, who noticed that logical teachings of the East were deprived of ravaging contradictions. A conclusion about the proximity of the provisions of the Buddhist logic and the ideas developed in Vasiliev's indifferent logic is made. Both Vasiliev's imaginary logic and logical teachings of the East deny the immutability of the traditional European logic and, above all, the law of non-contradiction that rejects the perception of the world as a wholeness. European rationalism, as researchers indicate, is not the only option for the understanding of being. The wholeness of the perception of the world, which rejects binary thinking, is possible, according to Vasiliev and the adherents of the logical culture of the East, in our minds, in the sphere of “pure” thought. I.I. Lapshin's ideas are noted, associated with the so-called quality concepts that have vague volumes and nuances of meanings. These provisions are close to studies of a typological research focus that connects the natural reality and the so-called taxonomic reality and aims to express complete, holistic states of the natural and social worlds. Zadeh's studies continued Lapshin's ideas. Zadeh's teaching on fuzzy sets and linguistic variables is the basis of our judgments about entities that do not have clear boundaries. This is present in our judgments about the world and is represented in studies of a typological research focus, characterized as a “middle way” in the analysis of the phenomena of the world, which is consistent with Shcherbatskiy's methodological position of a “third” truth, the truth of harmony and completeness. Zadeh's studies note the importance of uncertainty that can, nonetheless, grasp the wholeness of being and reject sharp oppositions. The fact of crossing and synthesis of logical approaches to the paradigm of wholeness is a proof of their cognitive validity. The analysis touches upon the question of an ontological interpretation of logic.
