A Diagnostic Tool for Monitoring the Formation of Professional Communicative Competence of Cadets of Universities of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia
The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of professional communicative competence of cadets of universities of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation. The aim of the article is to describe the diagnostic tool for assessing the formation of this competence in cadets. The author proves the effectiveness of the implementation of the methodological system of forming professional communicative competence of cadets. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that the author defines the concept of "professional communicative competence of students of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation", identifies its components (basic communicative competence, professionally-oriented communicative competence and professionally-specialized communicative competence). The structure of professional communicative competence is specified, and a tool for measuring the level of the development of this competence in cadets is proposed. To reach the aim, the following methods of research were used: analysis and generalization of pedagogical, methodological literature on the problem; questionnaire; monitoring; generalization of pedagogical experience. The author offers to form professional communicative competence of cadets in a departmental university in stages and in a comprehensive manner throughout the training. Six groups of cadets of the same course of study majoring in jurisprudence (4 groups) and zootechnics (2 groups), 145 people in total, took part in an experiment. The experiment lasted the entire period of training of cadets at the university (4 years). In the third year, students started specialized training ("Organization of Guard and Escort in the Penal System", "Organization of the Regime in the Penal System" and "Cynology"). 72 cadets of the experimental group and 73 cadets of the control group participated in the assessment. The level of the development of professional communicative competence based on the results of self-assessment and test materials before and after the pedagogical experiment has been measured; the empirical data have been processed and analyzed using modern statistical methods. The obtained results have been analyzed. Through Pearson's criterion, the impact of the influence under study on the educational process in the experimental group of cadets is proved. Statistical differences in the samples indicate that the null hypothesis is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis is accepted with a probability of 99%. The effectiveness of the developed conditions is proved.
