The Origins of Cognition of Physical Entities
The article discusses the features of the knowledge of the physical entity. Three origins of physical entities are distinguished and considered: (1) entity-in-itself; (2) the thinking of the individual; (3) axiological relation. Accordingly, the awareness of the entity of things goes through three stages: on the first, entity exists as a physical something; on the second, as an unconscious sensation that has already become part of the individual's being; on the third, as a conscious entity-concept. The relationship of the concepts of entity, sign, something, significance is analyzed, and a praxeological model of their association is suggested. Consciousness, beyond any doubt, does not affect the course of physical processes directly (yet it does it indirectly through practice), since physical movement has its origin only in something-in-itself, and consciousness only affects the understanding of physical entities. The assertion is justified that something is not given directly in reality, but exist as energy in every known natural entity, substantiates its existence as a pure possibility (like matter) realized by consciousness. Consciousness forms the eidos image (concept) and the morphe image (spatial definiteness) of the entity. Images are isolated (alienated) by thinking from physical entities and themselves become entity-concepts that exist only in thinking and form an intelligible world. Thus, thinking (along with something-in-itself) also substantiates the existence of physical entities: it is the second common reason of all physical entities for their existing being, and this reason is not separate from something, but is united with it. In addition, it is proved that the movement of something-in-itself is ontically independent of observation or even being, but its being-representation in consciousness is just as definitely determined by the axiological nature of the actual being of the individual determined by one's predetermined attitudes and needs. True thinking must be adequate to processes occurring in existence, since this condition ensures the applicability of knowledge in practice. It is obvious that thinking that forms physical reality systematizes and structures something non-arbitrarily. Physics establishes the exact properties and physical parameters of entities necessary for their use independently from the will of the individual.
